For those in heaven

Oh how this world can warp perception,
take our praise and turn it to a weapon,
take out dreams and turn em to poison,
with change of every season I watch my family get smaller,
I wish I could help,
I wish I could stand and fight all the evil of this world,
I wish not a soul felt alone,
Yet here I stand under sky of a dozen shooting stars still not a thing has changed,
maybe I didn’t scream loud enough for the universe to hear me,
maybe someone else said there wish before me,
I know Lady Luck is shining yet I’d give it all away to know that those I love could live the rest of this life with no pain no worries no sickness no fear,
yet here I sit staring at a screen writing my dreams and wishing everything could end up alright,
just wake from the nightmare and call you again,
say I’d call you every day and never have to say goodbye,
7 stars fell that night and all of em were for you,
to get better,
to heal,
 I guess I should’ve been more specific cause now your ok but your gone away,
now all I can do is pray for god to give you the message that I’ll miss you,
and I promise I’ll see you again,
I’ll live the best I can,
nothing in this world will bring me down,
 I gotta get through those gates, no matter where this life leads,
through the highs and lows I promise I’ll never forget you,
to all my loved ones this poem is for you, one day I’ll recite it in heaven and we’ll all have a lunch again
