Dark Disguise

Hiding stealthy in the shadows
Silently waiting for each attack,
You pretend your spirit is glistening white
Even though I know your soul is black.

Lurking impatient in the background
Watching ever fearful of the net,
That hopefully one day will expose you
Although it hasn’t happened yet.

A vipers tongue that’s always dancing
In your hateful mouth at centre stage,
Gyrating and spinning laying waste to all
Wreaking endless havoc with its rage.

Your secrets fall  like an acid rain
So very many that you keep hidden,
When ever they finally become exposed
You know you’ll never be forgiven.

Yet there you sit in haughty solitude
Like the very Devil upon his throne,
Surveying your chaos with silent contempt
While your deception cuts to the bone
