Chuckles

I can't contain my chuckles,
and It really bugged me.
The dreaded light laughter..
emanating out from my heart,
Strange as an alien to my own soul..
Resonating all around my room..
My room, filled with nothing but books.
My books that have bewitched me.
These stories, tying me down..
Like Gulliver being strangled by the lilliputians..
One rope at a time..
Flung across my torso..
tighter and tighter..
Squeezing out my lungs through my mouth..
My heart mushed to a pulp..
My presence, a mere bystander..
My life, a lost companion..
My existence, a mirage in the desert..
Simmering with possibilities, stuttering with plausibility..
Here today, nowhere tomorrow..
As if only here for laughs..
Or just thoughts, on whose pondering ..
I just can't contain my chuckles!!!!...

About this poem
