My body aches now
I tell the old and the young
But not the angels
My knees bend both ways
My back is bruised by my mistakes
My arms held out too long
I repeat it again and again
My body aches
But nobody comes to heal
I haven't asked God yet
Or myself
I'm still, strong
Nobody is going to wheel me around
I'm a walking gal
But my body aches now
