Second chance

What do you see when you look into my eyes, is it the shadow of depth or the darkness of Lies?
When you see me walking your way, do you smile and wave, or just walk the other way?
Do you ever give in, open up to a new friend? Or are you set in your ways, not ready for change?  Am I hopelessly searching, is there no end? Maybe we can rewind to the beginning, and try over again.
Would you choose a different ending, or even look into my eyes for a beginning?

About this poem

This poem is about opening up, trusting people even after being hurt so bad in the past. Being able to forgive and move forward. Being able to understand that people don't generally do things to hurt one another, they just do what they know. They haven't learned anything different yet.
