I met a classic poet

Heather Lydia Thornhill 1981 (Manchester)

I met a classic poet
His words had graced the heavens
And all their mind and spirit
Had stemmed Gods sweetest cravings
For they had sat down for a while
Beside his being with such meaning
That every poem they had written
God so heartfelt knowing
Reciting the sweetest, shared with them
It moved all they were seeing
Forevermore to grow in love
An everlasting feeling
They shared their perfect verse with mine
And now we write such poetry
You might just think is fine
So now you know from where it has come
Will you share yours with everyone
