The Sugar's False Pretense

The Sugar's False Pretense

In quest of health, we turn to artifice,
A false elixir promised in each sip.
Aspartame, a sweet deceitful vice,
Deceives our tongue, our body, and our grip.

With naught but emptiness, it yet entices,
Its allure, a lure to slimmer waist.
Yet, as we drink, our bodies pay the prices,
As cells, deprived, by this syrup are beset.

Our neurons, poisoned, killed by this deceit,
And energy balance thrown off course.
Our insulin's rhythm, thrown into defeat,
And gut, disrupted, by this dangerous source.

Thus, in our search for healthy, light sips,
We find, instead, a hazard in our lips.

But still, the masses reach for artificial,
A sweet escape from calories real.
Unaware of consequences, they are caught well,
In the trap of sugar's false pretense, they seal.

For it's not just the neurons and the gut,
That artificial sweeteners do distort,
But also the metabolism, it is afoot,
And causes issues in weight, it can resort.

So, we must be cautious, and aware,
Of what we consume, and what we share.
For our health, our future, we must care,
And seek for sweeteners that truly do repair.

For in the end, true health is the prize,
And sugar's false pretense we must disguise.

So let us seek for sweetness in its purest form,
In nature's nectar, it is always warm.
And let us not be tempted by the norm,
For health is worth much more than just a charm.

For nature holds the key to health and life,
And not the artificial, filled with strife.
So let us choose with care and choose right,
And seek sweeteners that bring delight.

For those who suffer from diabetes,
The choice is harder, the path more narrow.
But still, they can find sweet relief, this is
In natural sources, they can find no sorrow.

So let us not be swayed by clever guise,
And false promises, in disguise.
For our health is precious, we must prize,
And seek what is natural, before our eyes.

For in the end, the truth will always shine,
And we'll see artificial sweeteners for what they are, a false paradigm.

And as we strive for a healthier life,
We'll break away from the artificial strife.
For in the end, we'll win the inner strife,
And find true health, free from the artificial knife.

So let us listen to our bodies' call,
And seek the sweet that nourishes us all.
For in the end, we'll stand tall and strong,
And find the health we've sought all along.

And with each step, we'll leave behind,
The artificial sweeteners of a different kind.
And embrace the natural, sweet and kind,
And find the health we've been seeking to find.

So let us choose with care and choose right,
And seek the sweet that brings delight.
