The End of the Matter

Richard Groff 1957 (Pottstown, Pa.)

It’s easy to take a journey when you have a job to do,
But when that job is finished we will run back home to You!
Home is where the heart is and we long to be there too,
So then till our work is finished let us never stray from You!

You gave us a Great Commission and said:
Go and make disciples.
So, we’ll feed the hungry and clothe the poor
that they won’t be Your rivals.
The work You gave us in this world is something we can’t do,
Unless we live and spend our time to learn to walk like You!
