Desiderium of a Bygone Bard
Snooze Bobaxton 1351 (Waterdeep)
I dreamed a dream of keen and sheen, I fought and shot, I cast, o’lass.
I struggled with a nary-thought, thy deed and greed, ye flowed and glowed.
Dead they were, I found and bound, shown to town, cawed and crowned.
Keen and sheen, I cast, o’lass, I dreamed the dream, thy glory-bound.
Jump for joy when days see sun, there the run, sweet o’fun.
Travel to and fro and through, with the breeze, with the trees.
I dreamed a dream of warmth and fire, of hearth and sire and good desire.
I dreamed a dream, and set the mast, away ye cast, y’onorey lass.
Days draw by, and I do sigh, yes I die, o’goodbye.
Now the end is nigh and high, and I must say, what a way.
Here we go by hurt and dirt, to better dreams and better gleans.
Here we go by soot and foot, to better fires and better liars.
I dreamed a dream as yonder sang, I dreamed a dream as yonder rang.
I dreamed the dream, I did, I dreamed, I dreamed a dream, o’des’dereem.
