there are all these things I want to say to you,
things I want to tell you,
need to tell you,
and yet,
silence,
afraid of what you'll think,
afraid of what you'll say,
afraid that you won't understand,
so the silence will remain

This poem was written as an expression for being afraid to share feelings with those we love, a message that sometimes silence is the strongest cry for help.
