The forest that is never entered

Francina Ndlovu 2005 (Coronation)

The forest that is never entered

Far from everyone’s reach
Known by the owner
It’s name is known
But only it’s seen by the owner
Soon will the holder
It’s a house of a bird
Some have given the bird away
Oh now it’s a dirty bird
That fell in a dirty trap
Oh the owner knows
So does the holder
Oh poor dirty bird could never retain home
It’s house was shattered by a griddle Little holder
But something stayed
Results of the problem
Grow little fallow
Grow little star
Grow to a holder
That doesn’t steal a bird
