Small humans

Exploring the universe, a grand adventure,
We set our sights on the stars, so far away.
Our ship takes us to distant galaxies,
Where no human has ever been before.

We leave our planet behind,
The twinkling of stars our only guide.
We fly through the Milky Way, exploring each nook and cranny,
As we search for something new.

We pass through vast clouds of gas and dust,
The remnants of star systems that have died.
We witness the birth of new stars, so bright,
As they burst into the night sky.

We move onward, ever deeper into space,
To explore strange new worlds.
On some, we find life, so alien,
But still with a spark of familiarity.

We pass through nebulas,
So beautiful and strange.
We explore new galaxies,
Where the laws of physics seem distorted.

We journey ever onward,
To the most distant reaches of the universe.
We explore strange new phenomena,
Discovering more than we ever could have imagined.

This journey has no end,
For the universe is infinite and ever-changing.
We explore, learn, and grow,
As we seek to understand the secrets of the universe.

About this poem

This poem is a science fiction description of what humanity wants to achieve in space, and how instead of focusing on our own planet and its issues, we choose to focus on outer space.
