School Sucks

Black hole of weighted worries situated on my spine. Deserve an Oscar for the facade slapped on my face screaming “I’m fine.”

Marching through the inferiority complex with slurs springing across the halls like slinkys, that stab self-esteem like machetes.

Superior snakes whisper incessantly while inferiors soak it in and squeeze it out on themselves indefinitely.

Real life convictions, dictations, conversations – the foil of their profession. Distinctions and dissertations is their only obsession.

“It’s to open up more options – to go into the big, bad, nasty, cruel industry” since when has isolated tunnel vision on text supported approachability?

I’m just a teen with essays above the below but no one knows how much I’ve got to show.

About this poem

This poem is about the struggles teenagers face at school with bullying, interminable stressors on their lives where their self- worth is degraded.
