Once upon a time I was your home.
you said "you are my home."
not comprehending the danger in such
i loved it,, i love the very warmth those words brought
but i never thought about how people don't always stay at home
they go on vacation
and that's exactly what happened
home wasn't good enough for you all the time
and gone you were, on vacation
leaving me vacant for a time
after every vacation you were different
until you were unrecognisable
and you packed your stuff as if it were time for another holiday
but i locked the door and you were never allowed home again
i hope you get home sick
i hope you realise that vacation has nothing on home
and that you weep on my door step and watch another lover call me home and love me right
don't take home for granted,, there's only one place like it,, that feels that good, that comfortable.
