Incomplete

So job was tested
Stripped off his cows and cattle’s
Riches and wealth
From 300 horsepower to 3watts
Waste, want , wrought
And I am baffled as to why the gods play with human lives
Like life was a game of chess and we’re only pawns
As if we don’t feel the hurt and the pain of loosing
Family friends and onlookers
All betraying
Even the mind begins its own mock verses
Mock God and die
But in this case
I was told to be ready to sleep with men old enough to my grandfathers
Godfathers!
“You are not the only one who loves God
Why claim to be righteous when you’re not even a virgin”
People who looked up to me now look down at how greatly I have fallen
I have always been at the center of it all
But in this center , another circle is formed around me
Where everyone has access to humiliate,  shame and cause hurt
And even if I want to stand and speak up
My voice is utterly silenced by the voices of those I gave the leverage to have a say in my life
So now I am limited
In words and in sight
Myopic in thoughts
My eyes are the color of hunger
Hungry to be on top again
Starvation is all I stand here to gain

These gods who have reduced my existence to a card game
Anyone can have the end game
You said you’d see me through if I made you my shepherd
I shall not want
But if only you could see my starvation and my soul wailing in defeat
I can no longer read these words of promises that seem so vague, empty and full of deceit
I am without hope filled with fear and trembling
I am everything you didn’t want me to be
And I still kneel and beg you to take this cup and let it pass over me
