Being Concurrent

Being concurrent
is a sense of peace
    quietness
    thinking of ideas
        while the distant clock
        ticks away

An itch
a sore
heart racing
a memory pops up
you cough

You're aware
of you're surroundings
    the blue bottle
    you're shadow
    dry lips
    filthy nails
    the air-conditioner
    it's cold

As you sit
alone
    in the room
    thinking
        waiting
        being concurrent
