Grieving

Showing a smiling face
While breaking inside
Feeling torn up
Thinking the worst
Not able to work through this
Shutting down to keep others out
Will it get better, with time it hasn’t so far
Triggered emotions by a smell
Spiraling out of control
Sleep is my only reprieve
From this endless cycle of sadness
