They could not and would not accept certain things we are not meant to know nor able to control
but must always respect for continued harmonious resonance within the cosmos
otherwise disrupt the universal balance to be maintained
Instead they set about to determine as well as control their sciences
As they no longer held appreciation for Nature attempted to replicate her raw power
Insidiously incurring the inevitable foretold climactic mass extinction event
