NO ONES ONE'S ONE
If I put 1 and 1 together do you see 11 or do you see a sum?
Do you add 1 and 1 to gather, there by creating a 2 sum?
If I say, "each to one's own" Am I still implying 1?
When 2 of you came together you say, "You too became 1"
The coming of you 2 together created another one
Then is that not 3 you have become?
How odd even appears even odd to sum
More than 2 one has become
If you count are you amounting to sum?
For me to count first I have to get to 1
Which means I began with zero so how can first be 1?
Yet if I count down to zero then there is nothing after 1
The same nothing where I begun
Taking this into account should I bother to pursue this one?
A very odd number is this number 1
Would you prefer to be 1 part of the whole or the whole part of 1?
How even odd appears odd even to some
Do you like being on your own to be number 1?
Or being part of a team with many eyes looking out for everyone?
One has to make an admission this add mission is a difficult one
I am sure I am not alone with this one
Lets go back to begin where it all begun
Though I wish I had started with zero, such a simple round sum
Anyway we're here now so lets just get on with this 1
When you 2 got together you multiplied into one
Now understand that I am not making an assumption
I am just trying to figure out a sum
Was the reason being for you 2 to be alone you had to become 1?
Some say this detracts from your individuality losing one's self in 1
Why make each individual stand alone as none?
Maybe because through their personal experience 2 dwindled into 1?
Now I have to ask, if you both divide and both move on?
Is it split personalities that you have both become?
Do you feel less than whole without some?
Are you feeling decimated like there is a hole after one?
I ask all this for 1 simple reason
It is not odd to think how even one can become
If you pulled yourself together to again become wholly just you one?
Would you again subtract one's self from the equation to be a lesser sum?
If you answer 'yes' to that last question
I give up
