Chilled Arms / Burning Heart
A heart burns in it’s chest
Arms of ice it holds up
Slivers of warmth on the damaged skin
Flashes of heat from the burning heart
An overworked muscle of woe
Touch-starved limbs
I can soothe the pained heart,
I will hold your striped arms
Your reckoning will be held close to my freezing heart
I will wrap your iced arms in the heat of mine
I am a completion of your warmth, I am the answer to the cold
