On the Run

Riaan Smit 1988 (Windhoek)

Run, like you’ve done a thousand times
When something don’t feel right
And you’ve gotta get away
From the idea of pain

I’ll be calling in the morning when you’re gone
I’ll be calling in the morning when you’re done
I’ll be calling in the morning just to see if you’re still having fun x 2
Or if you’re on the run

I’m, I’m the same just as you
I fear the things you do
And I fear the coming change
And I long for better days

I’ll be calling in the morning when you’re gone
I’ll be calling in the morning when you’re done
I’ll be calling in the morning just to see if you’re still having fun x 2
Or if you’re on the run

When your heart wants to stay
But your mind wants to run
And you don’t know which one to follow
What you do and what you say may seem right today
Until you go and change your mind tomorrow
