GOOD BYES
Good Byes
Good byes are always so so painful
Grief is the price we pay for love by bucketful
Love is what makes the world go round
Makes it go round, all around and above
Round and round we go in a perpetual circle
For that unattainable love
That unrequited love miracle
Yet , what does anyone know about
The love for one’s own flesh and blood ?
The love that surpasses above all
The anguish of losing any one of them
Is more than a parent can ever bear
They are feeling forlorn forever
As their hearts continually tear
Hidden away in the deep recesses
Of my burnt out soul
Is a burning yearning
To be with my Bonnie
My eyes are still searching
This afternoon I saw off my younger daughter
Put her on the train to return to her abode yonder
As always this makes me a trifle sad more
Although she will travel back
How deep can my anguish be
For the one that I had lost
The daughter who will return never
This is what pierces my heart the most
Hidden away in the deep recesses
Of my burnt out soul
Is a burning yearning
To be with my Bonnie
My singed soul is still searching
In the backwater of my nightmares
This searching is never ending
The intense agony
That arises suddenly
For no rhyme or reason
I want to reach out to her
Hug her as I always did
And tell her how much I love her
Thats always how I used to live
But my heart sinks
To a bottomless abyss
I can’t reach her
I can’t tell her how much I miss
How much I love my dear
How much I will continue to love her
Love and love her till my dying day
Which gets ever and ever nearer
I love you Ma
I love you so much
I’m so sorry I left you
To die all alone
In your flat all forlorn
Without your dearest daddy with you
I love you Bonnie
I love you so so much my beauty
I will leave this world
Knowing in my heart
That we will never meet again
Wherever we are , we are no where
For I do not believe in afterlife
Nothing left after death
There is nothing really eternal despite
Not for ever and ever, even with stealth
