One Flake

The seasons slowly change as the warm breeze turns cool.  Watching as the sleet turns to snow, He grows.

Daylight to dark, the long nights, laughter, and heartbreak, the flake dances in the air as the wind blows.

The crystal sways and sparkles and finds its place. When the flakes come together, the beauty and the grace is undeniable. Where the next season takes it, only God knows.

For now, we enjoy the Winter days, the warmth and the chill, say a prayer, and gaze upon the true blessings of the sunset glow.

Keeping our eyes focused on the elegance and the changes of the Winter, and watch as the winds swirl, wishing for time to slow.

He grows.

About this poem

The snowflakes dance, they each have their own sparkle. When they come together they make the landscape beautiful and bright. Each of us are flakes, but when we come together we can make things beautiful. This poem is about my son and his friends who have became family. Spreading their wings, off on their own journey, but when they come together, it's a beautiful friendship as I watch them grow.
