Withering

Nothing seems to feel quite right
My head and heart set not alight

The rain that should be golden rays
Seems to only ever stay

My food is dull and leaves me empty
Although I should have eaten plenty

The thing I call my taste is gone
My curtained eyes were never drawn

I only wish for better days
Before my head begins to sway

My body lays across the bed
Uncertain if I'm truly dead

And when dawn comes a silent when
I may not ever rise again

About this poem

I don't really remember what I was feeling when I wrote this. It's only as much as you think it is.
