Solitude

In uncalled times of misery
My solitude always talks,
The harshest of words
In the longest of walks.

My dear friend solitude
Doesn't let me forget
The things that once happened,
The things that i regret.

Solitude can be poison
To those with something to lose.
But to me it's a medicine,
Healing my pain's bruise.

It's a tool that brings balance
To the oddly shaped heart.
Helps me know myself
And brew a fresh start.

Some of the best moments I've felt
Were those spent in solitude.
But there have also been some
That forever my life subdued.

Eyes that bear pain
Pain of grieves that matter.
Must learn to befriend solitude
Before the rains of tears patter.

The right to be called sane have I
Lost, for known it for long have I.
It doesn't pain to be alone anymore
It doesn't pain to say goodbye!
