Growth
Tanya Turner 1977 (Waco)
THIS IS A POEM I WROTE BECAUSE NEVER HAVE I REALIZED MY TRUE WORTH UNTIL THESE PAST 2 YRS OF GETTING MY LIFE BACK WITH GOD!!! IF YOU DO NOT LIKE IT THEN CARRY ON DOING WHAT YOU WERE BEFORE YOU READ IT NO HARM DONE!!!!
Quietly trying something new,
I sit still patiently waiting on you.
To come to me even in my dreams,
to see the radiant glow of light beams.
I have never given my all to you,
the way I have is now so pure and true. Jesus I have decided you are worth waiting for,
after all you gave me and more.
I do not know what the full plan you have for me,
So I wait so gracefully.
On the day you bring it to light,
I will know it was worth the fight.
It has been such heartache and pain,
Now all coming to light is my true gain.
Until the day you send the right one for me,
I will continue waiting patiently.
For you are the only one who knows me,
So I accept your plan and whats meant to be.
You see cause sex was my drug of choice,
I didn't think I could say no with my voice.
As I gave my heart more and more to you,
You showed me I can say no and each day I do.
Sometimes I get weak and there is temptation,
But I am staying strong at my battle station.
I know the one time I give in to that sin,
I will hate and regret it within.
So I tell these people if a nympho can turn her ways ,
If I can fight and wait for the days.
When the right one comes along,
It will be my wedding song.
That I gave up that moral sin,
I made a vow to wait for him.
It is never to late to do it,
Just pray and God will help you through it.
