Wreckless Addiction

Casey McDaniel 1981 (Oklahoma City)

I am bound to have a wreckless future because I'm a product of my past.
I'm hurt and I am broken due to the stones that people cast.
I am Null of any hope and I am void of all ambition
Although my life's not over I am  struggling with addiction.
I have sunken into this abyss and I am completely depressed.
I am tired of all emotions and I really need to rest.
I  lay down, close my eyes, and then I drift off to sleep.
Instantly the nightmares start and my demons begin to creep.
I have tried to heal what's broken and I've tried to somehow cope.
The only thing that seems to help unfortunately is dope.
This drug has taken over now and It's completely made me numb.
I don't recognize myself anymore , who is this stranger I've become?
I've been tried by judge and jury and their verdict they did give.
It seems that minus friends and family it is foolish for me to live.
If I were to die tomorrow I wouldn't be the only one to blame.
The cause of death would be from a shattered heart and shame.
What promise does my life hold? I've got not a single tie that binds.
I have not one dream to live for and I have no faith left in mankind.
It's like I'm already dead but I'm still living and this causes much regret.
To the world I'm just an addict so easy to forget.
