The mystic well is dry!

I have but the memory of stars
Only one year gone but still you fade
A tiny red shack seemed my castle
floating in the Milky Way
 
Profound silence, a symphony
miles away a wolf howls
Morning cracks the sky , ignited
the Mesa burns with possibility

I shoo the wild horses from the yard
I collect their bones in a bucket
they are scattered on the brush
like sacred constellations

shall we go to the mushroom fair
shall we dance with ancient hippies
tripping on Golden Teacher
and visit one of 1000 shrines?

The well is dry. The well is dry!
The sirens break our world
We watch our crops wither
the neighbor shot a water thief

Goodbye mystic dust bowl
I trade my chickens
for a tank of gas
and I leave wonderland
