Oxygen

Oxygen by Bob Morrison

There was a man who was made of wood.  When a fire was set he wished he could , strike the match and allow the fire to blaze. But fear of the fire kept the man made of wood away.
His beard grew splinters so a razor wouldn't shave his face.
He spent most of the days widdleing the splinters,  so his wife could touch his face.
The man made of wood lived in the woods to camoflauge himself from the people who would stop and stare.
His skin was made of bark and thorns,
As oak leaves were his hair.
His eyes were rustic brown in fall and green with the coming spring.
The closer you came to the man made of wood , the clearer the air became.
The older he aged the more leaves he lost and the bark started to peel away.
The insects came and the man of woods body started to decay.
The man made of wood succumbed and turned into dirt though
A acorn fell from his hand  and landed for its birth
Now a tree grows on from the man made of wood  and gives oxygen to this earth.
