Messiah

'Messiah'

I had wounds on my soul;
Resistant to heal,
deepened day by day-
Lingered and sealed.

Hopelessness had taken over,
Darkness had fallen,
Eyes had turned swollen,
Or should I say, I was crestfallen?

Nights passed by,
in the blink of an eye,
days raced through,
increasing the blues.

Then He sent a Messiah,
To soothe my wounds,
Wiped the oozing tears,
And showed me there is an end to all fears.

I had learnt to stand on my feet,
Decided to go and thank him with glee,
He was nowhere to be seen,
but his voice echoes in discreet.

A medicine to my soul,
A healer indeed,
not all medicines are bitter,
He still reminds that to me.

About this poem

This poem is a manifestation of love, peace , harmony and security. It is based on a guardian, a warrior or a Messiah as the name says, who is somewhere out there always trying to protect us. A messiah who never lets us down, never lets us fall.
