Maple leaf rag

Her leaves whispering my name in the wind
my maple leaf rag
she calls out to me when I sleep
she wakes me up when the sun has drenched her thirst.

I live to dream all you need is water and sun you got that
that’s Mother Nature and little me

I can taste the rain falling from my cheeks
my mouth awash and the heavens are pouring out our daydream

we come together we’re stronger through thick and thin
back to my window watching over maple leaf never leave you to thrive on neglect

Autumn  is near shedding golden leaves
entwine your branches hold them tight don’t be ashamed of your nakedness
look forward to a winter coat of snow and I’ll be there watching from my window
my maple leaf rag
Mother Nature and  I will see the summer shine on my maple leaf rag  once again
