Keep Holding On

Loosing the ability to keep holding on,
Strands have been cutting my fingers for long.
My grip is fading away like my desires,
My hands are bleeding away like my heart.

The remedy to this is to let the strad be gone,
But my heart is still beating and it's acting strong.
For I have been hoping that the rope might snap,
But one thin thread doesn't let me move on.

Loosing the ability to keep holding on,
Love is still there but my patience is gone.
Desperacy is fading and feelings are numb,
Being alive as a challenge has already begun.

My body is tried and my hands are weak,
But my heart is strong willed and my feelings' unique.
The path I've choosen is hard and quiet steep,
But my ability to keep holding on isn't so weak.

About this poem

This very poem is about how sometimes one wishes to give up on things and feeling yet keeping holding on to it. There's time when one wishes they weren't this hurt but they can't help but find peace in the chaos they live in.
