Spent my life longing for a mate;
But I struggled to get myself a date.
Then I caught the eye of a very special lady;
I was astonished, amazed, bewildered, is she crazy?

Why does she like me when others ignore me?
Why do I like her when others would bore me?
She told me that we will commit, I and her;
It was scary, surreal, and almost a  blur.
It was a dream come true, I thought, is this for real?
I search my heart to see how I actually feel.

Am I in love? I cannot tell;
But for her my heart does seem to swell.
I will be overwhelmed with emotions if it comes to a close.
But I will thank her for those joyful days where I forgot my woes.
