I Am Between

I am between light and dark
Between here and there
Between then and now
Just between
Am told to leave the dark behind me
Light is beautiful
Light is kind
Or so I’m told
But darkness
There is quiet in darkness
Solitude in darkness
Peace in darkness
And so I stay between dark and light
