Global Warming

Angello 2008 (Trenton,New Jersey)

The trees grow
The winds blow

For now at least

Fire rises in the west and east
A fully consumed undeniable beast

The rage uncontained
Out of control
Burning with a passion for star crossed lovers

The moon glows
But so do the embers that consume the land
Eat and defile with no barrier

Now you lay your head to sleep
Wondering will wake to
Waves of red and heat

The air you breathes is in constant turmoil and stress
The earth is the victim of global warmings undying quest

About this poem

This poem is about the earth and the stress it is under from global warming. It is almost as if Global warming is personified as a monster that is uncontained
