Pride is a Killer

My life is great, without excuse
And yet sometimes I stumble.
I’d like to blame it on abuse,
But I am not yet humble.

I know that pride will make me fall,
If I don’t overcome it!
I try my best and give my all,
But I am not free from it.

What can I do to stop this foolishness;
That’s still inside of me?
Like horses without saddles,
I still let this world ride me!

The only answer is in you Lord;
You are my salvation!
You chose me to be one of yours
And that before creation!

I now submit my life to you,
In humble adoration!
Let all I say and all I do,
Bring life to your creation.
