Wolf and moon

Sargidataara 2004 (Raipur)

Why does the wolf cry,
Every night with a full moon?
Is it just an attempt to try,
To make it dark soon?

Cause the earlier it's night,
The earlier can they meet.
Even if she's at a far away height,
He wants to sweep her off her feet.

He cries for a love that can never fulfill,
But his desires make him howl loud.
He is ready to wait for her till,
She can finally get rid of that cloud.

That's covering her up,
Not letting him see.
But he's not ready to give up,
He will wait for the beauty that is she.

Doesn't matter how long she will hide,
He will be there by her side,
She keeps loving him through the tide,
And he can't wait to make her his bride.

You are  the wolf and I am the moon,
Far away but never apart.
Doesn't matter later or soon,
Our story will have a start.
