OUR SEASIDE HOME

In a vision
I saw us living in a seaside house
We built by hard work
And fierce determination
I saw us drinking sweet lemonade
On the veranda 
Bathing in the dainty light of evening
I saw us picking vegetables
In our garden
For a scrumptious dinner
I saw us merrily collecting seashells 
For decor
I saw us relaxing in lawn chairs
On the sun kissed shore
And skinny dipping 
In the tranquil sea
On a dreamy night
I saw a devastating flood
That swept us away
And destroyed our beautiful sand castles
On the beach
But our home on solid ground 
Remained intact 
I saw our spirits making love
By the haloed glow
Of a fireplace in the den
As if we never left
