Bonnie lass in the tender grass

Bonnie bonnie lass
Sweet as a sun ray ever was
Dancing in the tender grass
Dreaming of a lover from the past

The feeling seemed to last
Until the clouds began to bloom
And the voices sung away her man
Til the angels swept him away again

My bonnie bonnie lass
Oh what a beauty ever has
Was her upon a Sunday mass
Tears rolling from her burdened eyes

The only love she'd ever have
To worship each and every day
And the gentle words he'd always said
Each kiss a new root how to pray

Bonnie bonnie lass
Sweet as a sun ray ever was
Dancing in the tender grass
Dreaming of a lover from the past
