World(s) of love
Amolika Singh 2004 (Lucknow)
All the times still stay in my heart
Roses burning with the pretty cards
True love was all that was, I thought
Expired shine of trickling tear drops
Dripping.....dripping down the window glass, oh love, it's love
Falling...what's quickly falling apart, oh love, it's love
All the beauty is just unlovely
The bright sun rises too early
Blank eyes still crave for more dreams
But what's broken is unfixable, it seems
Dripping.....dripping down the window glass, oh love, it's love
Falling...what's quickly falling apart, oh love, it's love
My head was dancing in a melody
Turned into nothing more than a cacophony
Something peaceful is beyond this noise
Well....no more will I lose my poise
Rising.....rising above the cacophony, oh love, it's love
Building....building myself what's left for me, oh love, it's love
About this poem
In this huge world of innumerable creatures, different people and infinite shades of their emotions, unfathomable depths of various characters and appearances, love is the best emotion one can feel and give to others. In times of inexplicable internal turmoil, when one looks around and doesn't find true love from any of the multiple relations that one has in life- be it a partner, a friend, a sibling, a parent, etc; being shattered is the only comforting feeling. But there's also a small world within. This radiates indelible love to one's own self. more »
