World Of Tellers

Don't know if I knew before,
That the corrupted world,
We all live in,
We are all tellers,
Myself included.

We tell people,
What they want to hear,
Because it is nice to do.
We tell people,
What they don't want to hear,
Because it is how to demand respect.
We tell people,
What they are doing is wrong,
Because we think we are always right.
We tell people,
What they are feeling is right,
Because we think it's the thing to do.

Though at the end of the day,
It leaves many of us confused.
It has us questioning ourselves,
Whether we are doing the right thing or not.

So we tell people,
But there is no showing.
We need to show,
That we are listening,
And doing something about concerns.
We need to show,
That we are comprehending,
And putting ourselves in other's shoes.
