Wildflowers

I leave broken poems and incomplete letters addressed to love. Love, be kind, be near, hold me for a little while. Just for a little.
I melt in his sight.
Love, what are you doing to me?

Maple skies and moony lawns. The air is sweet with the longing of a young heart. He slips his hands into mine and traces the other over my lips. Crimson touches and nothing but the night draped over us. And in that moment, the world holds still just for the two of us.

September, September, September. You are far too young to make me feel this way. Blinding hope, stolen glances, sun-drenched windows. I wish you stay for a little longer. Just a little.
