Wild Child
Sometimes I wish to be a retard
Sometimes I wish to run away from the present
Why is it that I feel regret on understanding everything?
Had I gone insane, could I avoid the chaos,
The cruelty, the absurdity around me?
The fight for freedom, the longing for love,
Would be absent in my caged soul.
I wonder why with a sweep of my eyes,
I can see the hidden intent of each in front of me.
But yet I have to act to save myself,
I speak out clear, "Yes, I am grateful to you,"
The one who calls me stupid and useless,
Oddly has a long list of expectations.
While someone who stands up for me,
Loudly disappoints and lowers my self-esteem.
I know they have to feed me their earnings.
Hence I get their reason of animosity.
However, it was them who called my existence,
With the promise to bear me right.
Maybe our fate has cursed us all
Or the almighty is testing us for something worthy.
I will patiently wait for I believe in balance,
As I was told it fails nobody.
