where even the winds dont reach

A home below the hills,
Where even the winds don’t reach

I saw a man lives still,
Does he know things that they preach
and wonder how can he be
where even the winds don’t reach

They aren’t bothered, yet they want to see
Whether he dances or he sings
to whom he speaks or he screams
where even the winds don’t reach

"He is strong,
he doesn’t know.
he is weak,
he reaps what he sows"
but will such breaths ever breach
where even the winds don’t reach

yet he isn’t weak,
but he walks back and forth
since at times he wants to drift,
someplace away from
where even the winds don’t reach

seldom we do speak
when sometimes we do meet
ashamed as I depart,
far beyond the hills
to voices so sharp
that can cut so deep
but I can always bear
the poison in the air
because for my heart to beat
I have left myself behind
where even the winds don’t reach
