When yesterday died from within.

Ann Elizabeth Tom 2002 (Kerala)

When yesterday died from within
The breath I take in today sounds insincere, the words flow out without meaning
Writings just don't make sense anymore, within the blanket of a shunted down past fear grew inside manifold.

Somewhere in the midst of creating nostalgia, I lost what I once cherished. There existed a time when I found happiness in the most simple of things, the yesterday which died from within .

They say communication is the key, but never about the lock which would home the key.
Those days of childhood when I put on a brave face every day, little did I speak about what disturbed me, little did I speak about insecurities.
But the boldness in my actions were not fake, the yesterday which died from within.

As I fearfully try to put past the disturbances, there is a beauty in the face of a trying and even when pretending becomes an answer, it comes in the most raw form.
I seek my past self and lose a bit of the present, and it forms in itself a newness which shows me the face of solace.
The yesterday which died from within demands a reawakening.
