The Game Of Life

As a child I used to love playing the game of Life
It was pure, clean fun without all the strife
Rolling the dice and moving through different places
Sometimes moving forward 2 and then getting setback 4 spaces
While my opponents seem to be moving ahead
Getting all the good things while my spirit filled with dread
That I wasn't going to finish first, you know to lose as a child was the worst
The similarities of that game are symbolic you know
For there is always something in life that will test your flow
If only it was easy as it was then, to become wealthy and have a big house and a nice car
Dreaming is where the true victories are
For I would much rather have my riches in Heaven above
And not let things of this Earth get in the way of God's love.
