SOLACE

By quirk of fate I ended up
To sink in dusk and gloom;
But for any hope in this
Abject gift of God.
The sedulous combat had turned
Into a forlorn soul.

Transient were the wounds, I hoped;
Even if so, yet a lot ahead stood by.
Many more to jostle through,
Being undaunted; I discerned.
Now let me view this orb of the mortals:
Through the eyes of Euphrosyne.

The blithe aurora portrayed though,
And the twilight rich in palette of colors:
With the luminary and the stars—imminent
Furnishes a prospect of resurrection.
The nature smiles at you with eyes
Albeit, it takes a turn every so often.

So I tell you, listen to this—
Full of bane to veer you glum,
Yet lot more to cheer and rejoice;
This is life's vicissitude,
That I could fathom now.
