Partial Mankind

Adeeba Rayeen 2004 (Jabalpur)

Is it about equality?

Why get so depressed
when she labels your gene?
Is it when
marriage flips to hypocrisy?

The too 'simple' word
that forces her to be wild,
Or the 'hot red'
that destroys her life.
Why you're crying, are you a girl?
Be strong and bold you are a boy.

So, let's change our places from now,

You tolerate our cramps that gives heart attacks often,
You tolerate those outfits that judges you upon them,
You tolerate both the working and house restless fields,
You tolerate those touches that feels almost as naked,
You tolerate that safety that scares you at night,

You tolerate every single phase
that expects us to fit as normal.

Why it's always "her"
to fit and act normal at times,
and questions about the existence
to this greedy mankind.
