pain

SOME PEOPLE SAY USE YOUR HEART NOT YOUR BRAIN,
BUT THEY HAVE NOT EXPERIENCED THE LOVE OF TRUE PAIN.
THE DAYS I SPENT THINKING OF THOUGHTS,
I SOMETIMES WISHED MY MIND WOULD GET LOST.
LOST IN MY OWN THOUGHTS.
I OVERTHINK YES THATS ME, BUT WHO IS TO BLAME,
I AM THE LOCK FOR THE KEY.
I CAN ESCAPE FROM REALITY,
AS MUCH I WISH,
THE PAST CAN NOT BE UNTHOUGHT.
SO I AM LEFT ALONE WITH ONLY MY THOUGHTS.
THIS BOY WAS IT FOR ME,
HE WAS THE NICEST GUY WHO EVER GREETED ME.
THIS BOY DIDN’T KNOW HOW MUCH HE MEANT TO ME.
BUT HE MEANT A LOT AND I WISH HE KNEW,
I WISH HE KNEW MY THOUGHTS,
I WISH HE KNEW MY DREAMS OF HIM,
I WISH HE KNEW.
BUT WHO AM I TO BLAME?
LIFE IS A LOSING GAME.

About this poem

I wrote this poem about how i felt after i left the boy who i really cared for but he didn’t know that i liked him. I tend to overthink things and get upset about the past.
