Our Ripening

Scott R. Hadley 1954 (Sacramento)

Ode

Every day, is another step on the way,
to death ......................... and that's O.K.

For we know as we deepen in knowledge,
This life is a prologue, a brief college.

What we learn, see and experience each day,
We'll find a cleared path, showing us the way.

To make each and every day an adventure is wise.
For, we take with us all good memories, not the lies.

Be graceful in all that we do and create,
For to grow old gracefully, prepares our fate.

Death, perhaps the ultimate orgasm, a solid "bon Voyage",
Propels us from this life to the next collage.
